I have never truly hungered. I have wanted and desired, but not hungered. And, I mean this literally and metaphorically. I don’t know what it’s like to go without food in my belly and I don’t know what it’s like to be without God.

To me, to be hungry is a very dire state. It’s one of our basic needs and is necessary for survival and; therefore, becomes a passionate feeling.

Having all my needs met, I do not hunger.

I’m not saying I don’t desire or feel the need to be more Christ-like. But, again that is a desire and what I want. I imagine that people who don’t have God in their lives are the ones who truly hunger. I just think they aren’t sure where to find the food.

Feeding the hunger of others is a difficult pursuit. But, as Christians it is our joy to share what we have. We have THE ultimate resource to share. We can literally and metaphorically stop hunger and help nourish the masses.
